HYC is a founding member of US Sailing and the Yacht Racing Association of Long Island Sound. We continue this legacy by hosting several regattas throughout the season.

2024 Schedule
June 29 (Sat): Commodore’s Cup Race
We will be hosting the annual 2024 Commodore's Cup Regatta. There will be a party after the race.
August 17 (Sat): Governor’s Cup
Hosted this year by City Island Yacht Club, the Governor’s Cup is a distance race around government buoys that gives you a nice tour of the Western Long Island Sound. Sign for the Governor’s Cup here.
August 18 (Sun): Mayors’ Cup
This race is quite the fiasco! A pursuit style start with three rounding marks. Competitors start in any direction they choose, round the marks in any order or direction and finish in any direction they choose. Put your navigation, tide mapping and forecasting to the test! November : 42nd Annual Turkey Day Reach Date to be determined.
